Memorial 6 November 2015
A whole year has passed and I miss you every day. You were such a wonderful human being.
It is 6 months since we buried your ashes in the garden you loved.
The tree is blooming with subtle flowers and branches reaching towards the tube’s tree on other side of fence. Its good to visit it every day and trees outlast us humans.
All my thanks to Jacques’ and my good friends who have been so supportive and thoughful right through this year. Jacques would have been so cheered and ‘miserably happy’ by actions speaking larger than words.
Thinking of Jacques – Always
Book of Jacques Memories and Reflections is in Preparation
- An Honourable Life in a Diverse and Difficult World DRAFT very tentative
I always remember Jacque’s quiet and astute eccentricity. It was as though he understood something about the human condition that I did not. I suspected he did
Thank you

Looking forward to seeing you soon
I shall not remember with sadness, rather I shall think of all of the lovely, happy, laughter-filled Jacques and Diana memories, that were accompanied by great hospitality, wonderful food and feeling truly embraced by warm wonderful human beings

“Jacques, you have left a void at the DL weekends which is irreplaceable. We are sure you are in a much better and peaceful place. Your humour and banter will lighten up that place.
Thanks for the good times Jacques, farewell and rest in peace”.
